Design Brief Goal:
Buyback campaigns are quite popular for dealers, especially since these types of offers benefit both them and their customer base. While we have done buyback and trade pieces before, we thought it would be fun to go with more of a retro spin this time around. A possible way we can go design wise with this piece can be by including imagery of an older, vintage car, with messaging like, "don't be stuck in the past". Messaging like, "Get a shiny new ride" can also work here. We can also go in the direction of mimicking a car ad you might have seen back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, or possibly even the 30s. As far as the overall color scheme is concerned, we currently have a lot of trade/buyback pieces that use a color combo of blue and green. So, let's try using some other color combinations, like possibly yellow and red or teal and orange. You can even lean into the retro feel by going with a black and white color scheme; sort of like what an old television ad would have looked like. Keeping in mind that this spec is essentially a trade piece with a retro spin, we will want to be sure to include a KBB trade offer on both the direct mail and email versions.
